Trivia
- Mermaid uses the pronoun Watashi in Japanese.
- In Densetsu no Starfy 4, and the Japanese version of The Legendary Starfy the mermaid shouts "Hi hi!". In the English versions of The Legendary Starfy, this was changed to simply "Hi!"
- According to Densetsu no Starfy 4's Secret Talk 12 item, there is a "Mermaid Fan Club". The membership number of the the Warp Jizou on the Hint & Items Screen is 10,989.
- In Densetsu no Starfy 4, there is a glitch where saving at one Mermaid and moving towards another while the animation has not finished will show a glitchy animation for the other, even though Starfy or Starly did not interact with the other Mermaid. This is exploitable in Flourishing Desert (Stage 6-4).
- None of Mermaid's voices between Starfy 4 and both versions of Starfy 5 are consistent, despite potentially being the same voice actress, Satomi Kōrogi.
