Geishachi is a boss in Densetsu no Starfy 4. She plays a shamisen and uses musical notes to attack Starfy or Starly. She will also fire what appears to be her lips at Starfy or Starly, which Starfy or Starly can then attack with a Star Spin to make her lose one health point. Unusually there is a hidden mustache underneath her lips.

Battle strategy

To defeat Geishachi, Starly must look around in the water for Geichashi's lips. Then Starly must strike them a number of times to defeat her, and the more damage she takes, the more erratic the lips move.

Attacks

Geishachi simply attacks by playing notes on her shamisen. There are two different kinds of notes; blue and purple. The blue notes can be destroyed if Star Spinned on, but the purple ones cannot. When Geishachi takes some damage, she will send out two bamboo pipes that will show a grand staff, then Geishachi will rapidly strum her shamisen, and multiple music notes will cover the entire horizontal part of the screen. Starly must Wall Jump to the top of the battlefield to avoid getting hit.

Trivia

  • She is the only boss that is fought by Starly during the story in the The Legendary Starfy series, if the bonus boss Konk in The Legendary Starfy does not count.
  • If one fights her again after beating Degil, a radio can be found and if Starfy or Starly use Star Spin on it, it will play an Asian shamisen version of Tone of Ocean, causing her to play a bunch of notes, making it hard for Starfy or Starly to defeat her.

Name origin

  • Geishachi's name is most likely from geisha. Geisha are female entertainers in Japan. Geishachi plays a shamisen like traditional geisha learn to play.
