Koimaro is a giant koi fish. He is the lord of the Hidden Village of Koimaro and the master to, presumably, all ninjas. He usually likes to play with Shurikit when he's bored, or when he doesn't have something else to play with, like when he lost his Kemari ball.

Trivia

• He shares a few traits with The Whale and Gabun. All three are very big, they have their name in the stage they appear in, and they have a story role in one game. However, unlike the other two, Starfy and friends never have to go inside Koimaro and Bankirosu doesn't attack him as he does not appear in Densetsu no Starfy 4.
• When meeting him for the first time, Shurikit calls Koimaro the "master of ninjas" (ニンジャのあるじ), but it is unclear if 'every' ninja answers to Koimaro like Shurikit and Kittana do.
