I was thinking about adding either "World" or "Levels", along with "Minigames" to the contents part of the page, but it would seem kind of redundant with the "Locations" part there... - BattleFranky202 21:08, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I think we should scrap "locations" for "worlds" (which are officially called stages btw) and "levels." I also think we should remove "playable characters" since there are only 2 (unless you count Bunston and his transformations) --Starfy 17:50, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, good point. Should we just leave 6 contents up there? - BattleFranky202 18:52, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't know what you mean, but whatever works --Starfy 00:06, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
So far, there are 8 contents: Characters, Playable characters, Enemies, Bosses, Locations, Transformations, Gameplay, Minigames. You suggested we take down "playable characters" and replace "locations" with "worlds". I think locations should stay, but you're right, playable characters have to go. - BattleFranky202 02:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Locations could stay, but I think it would be awkward having Stages (or worlds if you call them that) and Locations. There aren't any locations that I can think of that aren't stages. It doesn't really matter which one we chose because they end up being having the same contents. If you wanted to reduce the number of categories on the front page you could combine transformations with gameplay and call it something like "abilities" --Starfy 13:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

MBArceus - To be a starfish or be a star. That is the question.

It's been Moe, for, how long? One year? We need to change it.

Densetsu No Stafy Mangas

Did you know there are mangas for the Starfy series? There are mangas for 1, 2, 3, and 4. I haven't been able to find pictures of 3's manga, but I have found some pictures of the other 3:

Volume 1 cover

Volume 2 cover

Volume 4 Cover

Here is one of the pages of Volume 1:

Here is one of the pages of Volume 2:

And here is one of the pages of Volume 4:

I haven't been able to find the full mangas, but the pictures look pretty good! If anybody here has the mangas, you should add some pictures from them and info about them. Maybe they have some things that weren't in the games. It also makes me question if we will ever see a Starfy anime (Although there are anime shorts/commercials, those don't really count)...

Duplicate articles

We have duplicates of the Densetsu no Stafy 1, 2 and 3 articles using the US localized Starfy (e.g. Densetsu no Starfy) in their titles instead of Stafy. Should these pages be converted into redirects? --Torchickens 21:41, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

The Poll

What just happened with the poll??? It seems about 21 voters or so just joined and voted on the poll. It seems a lot of them voted for Mashtooth (Probably because he is the villain from the only English game in the series so far)...

Domain Downtime

Starfy Wiki's domain will be transferring tomorrow to a different registrar, during this time (~7 days) will most likely be unavailable. I have setup as a temporary fix so that it is sill possible to work on the wiki. Sorry for the rush of this but it needs to be done. The transfer will start sometime tomorrow (2/22/2011). I ask that you start using that way if there are any issues I can solve that before the transfer. You can contact me by e-mailing: tappy(at) thanks.

  • Update: Transfer will not begin until Feb 27 2011 12:00AM (EST)
  • Transfer has been completed. Everything should be working as it used to. You can return to using

NIWA Contact page

I was going to PM the other staff about this via the NIWA forums, but I thought that it would be more efficient to discuss it here. On the NIWA contact page there is no section for Starfy Wiki. The Forgotten Beast (Talk) and I unfortunately haven't heard a response from BattleFranky since April. Does anybody in particular want to take the responsibility of responding to emails, or are the others fine if I just use my email address ([email protected])?

Additionally, should we have a Starfy board on NIWA forums, or should it link back to Starfy Wiki, what does everyone else think? I'm addressing this to everyone who reads this.

Thanks! --Torchickens 12:18, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Densetsu no Stafy or Starfy?

A few months ago, Densetsu no Stafy [#] and Densetsu no Starfy [#] were duplicate articles, so The Forgotten Beast (Talk) moved all Densetsu no Stafy to Densetsu no Starfy. Should we stick to this plan of using Densetsu no Starfy?

I didn't go about changing every instance of 'Stafy' to 'Starfy', but did when editing some of the articles which needed to be edited for other things like adding navboxes because I wasn't really sure what we thought about it and didn't want to go around changing absolutely everything. On one hand, Stafy is the original Japanese title and the Game Boy Advance games and Densetsu no Sta(rf)y 4 were never released outside of Japan, though on the other hand Starfy is the localized name, and calling sutafī 'Stafy' assumes Japanese phonology for an English Wiki, where Starfy is still called Stafy in The Legendary Starfy in Japan. What does everyone think? --Torchickens 21:40, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Can someone please update Featured things? I'd be happy to help. --Starphoria (C·E) 16:49, 16 December 2011 (EST)

NIWA Meeting Round up

Hello, recently, there was a NIWA Staff Meeting. I didn't know about this until recently, so I decided to join in to represent us.

  1. So, during the meeting, founder of NIWA Liam asked for us to add more interwiki links to our sidebar and such, this will increase Google Rating, Overall traffic, etc. Well, We can also add to our traffic by creating an Affiliates section. Here is an example: here. This could help us greatly. We would need a banner, and a wave of affiliates. I can affiliate us with F-Zero Wiki and Icaruspedia, but we need more than just that. So, what do you guys think?
  2. We have also been encouraged to reach out to other sites for affiliation. Maybe not Starfy related, but general Nintendo fan sites?

--Starphoria (C·E) 16:55, 21 January 2012 (EST)

I approve all this, but the meeting already happen?! When?! I received a notice that it was happening but not when! I can't believe this... They didn't even send me an email... |'( -The Forgotten Beast 20:39, 21 January 2012 (EST)

:( It happened today... --Starphoria (C·E) 20:49, 21 January 2012 (EST)

I had so many plans and suggestions to make... I practically had a list... I've probably disgraced DK Wiki as well... but at least this new sidebar thing was kind of like one of the ideas that I had so at least the meeting went well it seems... -The Forgotten Beast 21:33, 21 January 2012 (EST)
Aww... D: --Starphoria (C·E) 21:45, 21 January 2012 (EST)
Sorry I haven't been as involved as I should be. :( - BattleFranky202 22:05, 21 January 2012 (EST)

Affiliation ideas

There is a web-comic called Starfy's Journal, but I don't know how active they are at the present moment, as their last update was in March, 2010. I would recommend two really active Starfy fan-sites, both in Japanese. The first is Colorful Planet - it's also a Zelda, Pokémon, MOTHER and Metroid fansite and it's also a good resource for Starfy music. There is also 今更 りとるY様 - a Starfy fan-art blog who usually have weekly activity. I'm sure they'd appreciate us, but the language barrier would make it difficult to communicate. Star_Light (Talk), however who has experience with the Japanese language may be able to help us in that respect.
As for non-Starfy, non-NIWA sites it would probably be best to look for Nintendo fan-sites actively seeking affiliation. Unfortunately I don't know of such sites in particular, because many Nintendo sites like GoNintendo and NinDB are already well-established and may not be interested in us. :( The N-Wiki is affiliated with a German Nintendo Wiki though... --Torchickens 22:01, 21 January 2012 (EST)
I've got nothing on non-NIWA websites, but being one of the heads of Donkey Kong Wiki I declare an affiliation between my two main wikis! (except we don't have a banner for DK Wiki...). I'm also the head and founder of numerous wikis on Wikia, can wikia wikis affiliate or do we have a rule about that? -The Forgotten Beast 22:26, 21 January 2012 (EST)
I would agree with affiliating with Donkey Kong Wiki :). I don't know if we can link to Wikia wikis unfortunately, I'll look into it on the NIWA forums tomorrow. Fundamentally, I don't see a problem; and although to a degree we stand against what Wikia is doing, I don't believe there should be the stigma against Wikia communities themselves, and I think that's something which should probably be stressed by the NIWA community. On the Starfy Wikia, I believe we were affiliated with Starfy Fanon Wiki? --Torchickens 22:41, 21 January 2012 (EST)
We were affiliated with the fanon wiki but it appeared to have sort of died out. -The Forgotten Beast 22:44, 21 January 2012 (EST)
That's a shame about Starfy Fanon Wiki. Well, I had a look through the NIWA forums and it looks like there isn't any hard rule on not being able to affiliate with a non-independent Wiki. When Wikisimpsons requested affiliation with NIWA, they were originally still hosted on Shoutbox and the consensus was that they shouldn't be declined hosting for being hosted on Shoutbox. In the same discussion, Adam from Wikirby later suggested that if a good Wikia site ever wanted to affiliate with NIWA, then it would be "foolish to turn them down". For this reason, I don't think there's anything against us being able to affiliate with the other Wikis which you manage. We haven't got a response from the art requests thread yet on SEIWA Alliance yet, but since then Starphoria (Talk) designed a banner. Should we tell them that we are ready for affiliation, or wait a little longer first? --Torchickens 09:30, 22 January 2012 (EST)
I would make sure the Wikia wiki is well developed at least and quite active. Pikmin Fanon is affiliated with Fantendo, so Wikia wikis are not against a rule. I'm all for affiliating with Colorful Planet and the Starfy Fan blog. When Star Light comes online, I'll ask her kindly if she could try and propose the affiliation. --Starphoria (C·E) 12:20, 22 January 2012 (EST)
I'll try and get ahold of Kingdom Hearts Wiki and Wikimon when I can. I'll contact Wars Wiki as well, for affiliation. --Starphoria (C·E) 12:24, 22 January 2012 (EST)
That sounds great, thanks! --Torchickens 12:33, 22 January 2012 (EST)
We should also probably ask the other SEIWA wikis for affiliation, like the Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest wikis. As for my wikia wikis, I'm willing to pitch the Odin Sphere Wiki and the Toriko Wiki as affiliates, does everyone approve? In the mean time I'll try to contact Smash Wiki for affiliation. -The Forgotten Beast 14:14, 22 January 2012 (EST)
That is fine. I'll take care of the affiliation with DQ Wiki. --Starphoria (C·E) 14:35, 22 January 2012 (EST)
(party) We are now higher up in the Yahoo and Bing results! Not too sure about Google. --Starphoria (C·E) 15:26, 22 January 2012 (EST)
HOTDOG!! I'm gonna dance the derp dance in celebration! :D -The Forgotten Beast 15:33, 22 January 2012 (EST)

(reset indent) :P Starfy Wikia is ahead of us in some cases, most notably "Starfy" on Google search, but we have passed them in most other searches, it is just a matter of time :P --Starphoria (C·E) 15:38, 22 January 2012 (EST)

It looks like we're doing pretty good on google but we still need more affiliates, I'm gonna keep scouting. -The Forgotten Beast 18:30, 24 January 2012 (EST)

The more the merrier. --Starphoria (C·E) 18:55, 24 January 2012 (EST)
Is there anything about Contact info on Colorful Planet here? --Starphoria (C·E) 14:31, 18 March 2012 (EDT)

Archiving the News

The News section on the main page is getting a bit long, should we make Template:News and Template:News/Archive to archive the old news? --Starphoria (C·E) 17:41, 23 February 2012 (EST)

Bumping since we added more news, we could archive it and have the 5 most recent news in there? --Starphoria (C·E) 20:55, 26 February 2012 (EST)
Sounds like a good idea. I support this. That section was starting to take up a lot of space. Probably there should be a small link at the bottom of the template linking to Template:News/Archive. I'm really sorry for the late reply, as I never noticed your message. --Torchickens 21:01, 26 February 2012 (EST)
Heh, it's fine, I did a few edits after that, so it must have covered it up --Starphoria (C·E) 21:04, 26 February 2012 (EST)
Archived! Staying with this topic a bit, since I made Template:News for this, I could move the sections of the Main Page to their own template, it'd be easier to update everything, and the coding would look a tad cleaner.--Starphoria (C·E) 21:06, 26 February 2012 (EST)

I see that the Main Page headers and borders are supposed to be rounded, but on Google Chrome on a Mac, I cannot see that. Tried Safari and got the same result... is it not rounded for anyone else as well? I looked on my phone and got it rounded... --Starphoria (C·E) 19:19, 5 March 2012 (EST)

Starfy's 10th Anniversary

September 6 2012 will mark the tenth anniversary of Densetsu no Starfy, the first game in The Legendary Starfy series! I was wondering whether we should do anything special to mark this occasion. Anyone have any ideas? --Torchickens 18:35, 16 March 2012 (EDT)

Apply our current skin to a brand new skin. :3 Maybe something like Fire Emblem Wiki, Golden Sun Universe, etc. Everything would be the same, with the same background and a similar sidebar, same color scheme, same transparency image, and same rounded tabs, but it would look awesome. It would look bigger and we could make it look even more of a seascape. Heck, we could even have an image of the surface of the ocean where the header is. It would look awesome. We could get Dillion of GSU to design it. He's designed every custom skin on NIWA, with the exception of WiKirby. --Starphoria (C·E) 20:15, 16 March 2012 (EDT)
If everyone likes my idea, we should have a staff meeting on the IRC sometime soon to discuss this and how else we can celebrate this anniversary. This is big :3 --Starphoria (C·E) 20:17, 16 March 2012 (EDT)
We could probably do some other stuff, too... --Starphoria (C·E) 04:10, 17 March 2012 (EDT)
I like it. Well I'm free to discuss this on the IRC chat, depending on what the others think and what time everyone's available. I was thinking that we could also do something more specific to it being Densetsu no Starfy's 10th anniversary. I have some ideas, which I'll discuss then to keep things a surprise. --Torchickens 11:21, 17 March 2012 (EDT)
I know Star Light and Kagegamer12 are on often, BattleFranky can be reached if you just leave him a message or email him, not sure when Beast is going to be on next, though. I'll try leaving everyone a message. --Starphoria (C·E) 15:55, 17 March 2012 (EDT)
Well, I left everyone a message... the sooner we can all meet, the better, so we can put our plans in place for the rest of the year. Better to be prepared :P --Starphoria (C·E) 13:03, 18 March 2012 (EDT)
It might just be best to talk about this here... (although I rather not give anything away, should a visitor see it) We can share ideas below, and then erase this topic :P --Starphoria (C·E) 14:28, 18 March 2012 (EDT)

NIWA Check in request

Hello, I'm dkpat from Golden Sun Universe/NIWA. I recently made a thread on the NIWA forums that requests that an admin from each wiki "check-in" and give an update on their wiki activity. I would appreciate it if someone from Starfy wiki could check in. Thank you. Link Dkpat (talk) 13:15, 25 October 2012 (CDT)

The "Starfy" games have three kingdoms. These are Pufftop, the Amiy Kingdom and Planet Bunnera. Please see also category:locations. Torchickens (talk) 00:39, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Starfy Wiki Is Under Attack

The headline says it all. Someone who works at the same place as me (I would love to be more specific than that...) is in the final stages of planning a massive attack on this wiki. He's been gloating about it for days on end. He knows this wiki well, and he's telling me that the attack will involve hijacking a number of accounts on this wiki. I dread to think how he intends to do this; I have a suspicion he may once have been (or may still be) an admin. To the best of my knowledge, the attack will be launched today or tomorrow. Please take heed! --Sid (talk) 23:22, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

I am thinking it would be cool to add a new section about Stage Maps.

I have searched around a long time trying to find good maps for the basic layout of each of he stages. So I decided I'd do them for myself. The maps won't be so detailed I think. They will only contain basic information like which door leads to which and where is the boss located. I wondered it'd be cool if there where maps with little spoiler information or little guidelines, just like the super Metroid map. I think it would fit Starfy well since after beating the game, the post-game missions (like obtaining all the treasures in Densetsu no Stafy) require a lot of exploration in each level. I am going to begin to work on the maps today or soon enough, so feel free to tell me if like or don't like the idea. (Unsigned comment by MoeKyorosuke December 23, 2020)

Sorry for the two year-late reply. :( This sounds great ^^. Note you can find a lot in the Nintendo Official Guidebooks but yeah, emulator quality can be nice. Torchickens (talk) 22:40, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Mass block

There is a mass delete feature we use, I wonder if anyone knowledgable about MediaWiki knows if there's an equivalent to mass block the spam accounts which keep coming. Torchickens (talk) 22:40, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
