Sand Snarks (Fukya in Japan) are enemies in The Legendary Starfy series. They are a larger orange version of Snarks that are too strong to damage. They are found in the S.S. Logwater in The Legendary Starfy.

Red-eyed Sand Snarks

In Densetsu no Starfy 4, a limited number of red-eyed Sand Snark are encountered in addition to ordinary Sand Snark in Focus Hill. Red-eyed Sand Snarks appear exclusively to Stage 7-3 and Jojiro asks Starfy to make all of the red-eyed Sand Snark flee. There are over 20 red-eyed Sand Snarks, with up to 5 in each room. By using his Star Spin, Starfy is able to stun them and make them flee deeper into the ocean. As a reward, Jojiro rewards Starfy, Starly and Moe with a Treasure Chest.
