Slamclam (Berorin in Japan) are blue clam-like enemies found in The Legendary Starfy series. They attack with a licking uppercut which can reach the player character even after short jumps.
They first appeared in Densetsu no Starfy 4.
In The Legendary Starfy, they appear in Skydye Heights.
Toy description
"Don't let Starfy get caught by this guy's licking uppercut!! Look closely when Slamclam whips out his tongue! Do you see anything?" (#047)
Trivia
- The 'tongue' of a Slamclam actually appears to be its whole body. When a Slamclam jumps up to lick Starfy or Starly, looking at its tongue closely will reveal eyes, a small mouth and miniature arms, meaning that the shell is nothing more than a hard protective casing.
