Biography
In the Japan-only Densetsu no Starfy 3, he serves a major role in Stage 8 (Undersea Ruins) (or 'cameo' but not in the sense of a minor appearance), where he helps Starfy progress through the stage. His evil-like laugh can be heard in Densetsu no Starfy 3.

Wario made a cameo appearance in Densetsu no Stafy 3 who helps Starfy throughout World 8 with his transformations from Wario Land 4. After completing every level in World 8, Wario gives Starfy four different treasures: a Wario cap, a Wario mustache/nose, a Game Boy Advance with a copy of WarioWare, Inc., and a pile of gold.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Wario has also appeared in the Nintendo fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a newcomer, and returned in its successors, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Wario appears as a newcomer character who is playable from the start in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. His standard costume is his outfit that he is seen in the WarioWare series; however, he can also appear in his classic overalls (which appeared in many games in the Mario series) depending on the player's choice.

Super Smash Bros. Moves
History
Chomp
Chomp is Wario's Standard Special Move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like other Special Moves, Chomp takes a while to use, but can score multiple hits. When Wario uses this move, he leans forward while opening his mouth, and then bites down hard, catching anyone he happens to get near him. Upon catching another player, Wario can continue to bite him/her, causing more damage, similar to a Grab attack. However, an opponent can escape Wario's bite. Kirby has the ability to use Chomp when he copies Wario's powers. Wario can also use Chomp to eat items, including items other than food, and can even eat his Wario Bike, which will allow him to use his Wario Bike move again.

Wario Bike
Densetsu no Starfy 3
Wario Bike (also known as Wario Chopper on the official Brawl site) is Wario's Side Special Move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. With this move, he will ride his motorcycle, and damage any player in the way. If the player tilts the Control Stick in the opposite direction Wario is facing, he will do a 180 degree turn. To jump off the motorcycle, the player must press any attack button. Only one motorcycle will be on the screen at one time, allowing Wario to get back on it if he falls off. The motorcycle can be stopped by other characters with a timed hit.

Wario or any other characters could pick up the bike and use it as an item that can be thrown around if Wario isn't riding it. The bike can also be broken into pieces and be thrown.

Corkscrew
Wario made a cross-over appearance in Densetsu no Starfy 3, where he helps Starfy throughout Undersea Ruins (Stage 8) with his transformations from Wario Land 4. It is treated almost as if Wario winded up in Undersea Ruins throughout his adventures in Wario Land 4. In Stage 8-1, he arrives via a Vortex like every stage in Wario Land 4, and with the help of Starfy he must locate the Frog Switch, and four Jewels (possibly Pyramid Jewels) in order to escape.
Corkscrew is the name of Wario's Up Special Move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The attack does a significant amount of damage if performed at the proper time, often leading to combos, but the attack is mainly thought of as a recovery move. When used in the air as a recovery move, there is a blue swirl underneath him, but nothing on the ground.

Wario Waft
He is greedy by nature, as shown in Stage 8-4 when he rushes into Gachatakkoru's chamber for treasure, only to be kicked out of the room. At the end of Stage 8-1, he apparently finds no need for Starly and Moe and uses his Dash Attack to throw them out of the area.
Wario Waft is Wario's Down Special Move in the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Once performed, Wario will use his flatulence (caused by eating too much garlic) to produce toxic gas, damaging nearby players. The attack gets stronger the longer the player goes without using it. If it is used continuously, over and over again, it will be very weak, but if it is not used in a long time, it will become a large explosion. It is better to wait, and be patient, rather than to use it too often. Also, depending on how long the player waits, Wario will fly upwards upon doing the move. If Wario is glowing red, it means that the waft is charged up a lot. If the player has waited long enough, he/she will fly quite a distance - enough for it to be used as a recovery move.

In the first three levels of Undersea Ruins (Gachatakkoru holds the treasure in Stage 8-4), Wario gives Starfy (and Starly in Stage 8-3) three different treasures: a Wario Cap (Stage 8-1), a Game Boy Advance with a copy of WarioWare, Inc. (Stage 8-2), and a Nose and Mustache Set (Stage 8-3).

Wario-Man
Stage 8-1
Wario-Man is Wario's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Unlike most Final Smashes, Wario's Final Smash is more of a power-up than an attack. When Wario breaks open the Smash Ball and the Special button is pressed, he eats a hunk of garlic and gains a superhero suit, that boosts his power and speed by quite a large margin. He is invincible in this state, and will not take damage, but can flinch. When using his normal attacks, he will hit with extra power, or gain added effects to the moves. His punches will act similarly to a Smash Attack, and his mid-air moves allow him to gain altitude. In addition to boosted normal moves, his Super Smash Bros. Special Moves will also gain extra strength and tactics, but his added speed will act as a downside when using the Wario Bike, as he will ride it very fast, which can result in falling off the stage. On the upside, however, the power of the bike is also greatly increased.
This level introduces statues which Starfy must use his Star Spin on to set Wario alight and transform him into Flaming Wario in order to break fire blocks blocking his path throughout the way. Unlike the Wario Land series, Flaming Wario will only extinguish when he touches the fire block, and he will otherwise stay alight for an unlimited amount of time. Starfy must use his Star Spin to hit bridges, so that when Flaming Wario is standing over them, it will make him jump and allow him to jump from lower ground floors to higher ground floors. Later, Starfy finds one of the four Jewels. Wario obtains it and gives Starfy the Wario Cap treasure. Wario by nature apparently finds no need for Starly and Moe and uses his Dash Attack to throw them out of the area.

Powers
Stage 8-2
Wario can use few of his many transformations in the Wario Land series to help Starfy get through World 8. In World 8-1, Wario could break Fire Blocks if Starfy breaks a statue that'll set Wario on fire, which transform him into Flaming Wario. In World 8-2, Starfy must guide Wario across the water chamber, Wario will sometime get trapped in a bubble, which transform him into Bubble Wario, so Starfy has to do his Star Spin to set Wario free. In another room, Starfy must jump on Bubble Wario and control him from running into spiked platforms. In World 8-4, Starfy has to jump on Puffy Wario and do the same time he did in World 8-3. In another room, Starfy must use Flaming Wario and Bubble Wario to get past some areas.
This level introduces Bubble Wario, and Starfy must help Wario swim down pools of water throughout the ruins without getting trapped within a bubble and floating back to the top. In order to pop a bubble, Starfy simply needs to attack it using his Star Spin. Later, Starfy must help Wario swim upwards and use his bubble form to rise through strong currents. Since Starfy recently acquired the Ultra Star Spin, he has no problem swimming through the currents himself. Starfy must stay on top of Bubble Wario and push him throughout the area, while avoiding spikes which will pop Bubble Wario and revert him back to his normal form. At the end of this stage, Wario retrieves another Jewel and gives Starfy the WarioWare, Inc. treasure.

Personality
Stage 8-3
Wario is greedy, as shown when he rushes into Gachatakkoru's chamber for treasure...only to be kicked out of the room.
In this level, Wario finds the next boss door gem by himself near the beginning of the area. Wario has to Ground Pound through hard blocks and Starfy has to follow him. Wario teaches Starfy the Shooting Star ability, so that Starfy is able to do the same. Later, Wario and Starfy find the fourth Jewel and Starfy must hit the Frog Switch. After Starfy hits the frog switch, Wario runs off to locate and battle Gachatokkoru. However, Wario occasionally waits up for Starfy, for example, at the spike room. Meanwhile, the screen returns to Starly and Moe who are frustrated for what Wario did to them. Moe turns angry and runs after Wario, after which Moe arrives first and Starly has to navigate through a side-scrolling room to reach Wario. Wario appreciates Starly's effort and gives her some treasure as well; the Nose and Mustache Set accessory, but doesn't pay much attention to Moe.

Stage 8-4
Wario, Starfy, Starly and Moe arrive at the boss door at a large, metropolis like area of the stage. Suddenly, Moe's father Kyorozou appears and shouts at Wario and chases him around the area. He manages to take Wario's Jewels, and everyone runs after Kyorozou. Starfy and Wario must navigate through four rooms to relocate Kyorozou. At the end of each room, Wario and Starfy find Kyorozou, and Wario throws Starfy at Kyorozou to retrieve the four Jewels that he lost, one at a time.

The top right and bottom right rooms involve Bubble Wario while the top left room introduces Puffy Wario. In the top left room, a Kachitsuki flies across the screen and inflates Wario, turning him into Puffy Wario. Like what Starfy did with Bubble Wario, he must jump on top of Puffy Wario and navigate him up the room whilst avoiding any platforms or spikes in the way. If Puffy Wario hits a platform or spike, he will pop, though strangely, he will later inflate again without the need of another Kachitsuki. The bottom left room leads to another Flaming Wario room and later a room for Starfy to use his Kigurumi ability to use a few Lurchins and Liftwisp as platforms.

When Wario retrieves all of the Jewels, he rushes into Gachatakkoru's room for treasure but later gets kicked out of the room as if he failed the boss battle. Starfy manages to defeat Gachatakkoru, with the help of the Shooting Star ability which Wario had taught him earlier.

History

Densetsu no Starfy 3

Wario granting Starfy with treasure in Densetsu no Starfy 3

Wario made a cross-over appearance in Densetsu no Starfy 3, where he helps Starfy throughout Undersea Ruins (Stage 8) with his transformations from Wario Land 4. It is treated almost as if Wario winded up in Undersea Ruins throughout his adventures in Wario Land 4. In Stage 8-1, he arrives via a Vortex like every stage in Wario Land 4, and with the help of Starfy he must locate the Frog Switch, and four Jewels (possibly Pyramid Jewels) in order to escape.

Stage 8-1

Stage 8-2

At the end of this stage, Wario retrieves another Jewel and gives Starfy the WarioWare, Inc. treasure.

Stage 8-3

Wario is featured in chapter 16 of the Yumiko Sudō manga: "With Wario, this is the Best Tag Team Fii!". During this chapter, Starfy and Wario join forces in the hunt for treasure, which according to a treasure map, is in a cave. This followed on from Starfy and Moe heading to a restaurant but not having enough money to eat. Starfy loses Moe in the cave, but teams up with Wario to find the treasure. Starfy and Wario do not find the treasure, although Moe finds it. Due to this, when Starfy and Wario relocate Moe, they both attack him presumably for his treasure.
