Fukafuka (literally "Fluffy"), is a sea lion that is dressed up as a tiger. He is usually the one that teaches Starfy and Starly how to use the Kigurumi. He has only appeared in the Game Boy Advance games. He can only be met after beating the game once or exploiting the demo glitch in Densetsu no Starfy as he must be found past some Seal Blocks.

Densetsu no Starfy 2

Starfy and Moe find Fluffy in Loch Ress (Stage 9-3). Moe greets Fluffy and asks whether he moved from the Sea of Ice but Fluffy doesn't reply, so Moe asks Fluffy to say something if he can hear him. Fluffy responds by talking nonsense, but shortly snaps out of it, saying that it’s been hot lately and that he feels like he’s been in a daze. Moe tells him to take off the costume, but Fluffy says he doesn’t want to and starts talking nonsense again. Moe tells Starfy to find something cold to cool down Fluffy, eventually finding a Snowman through a maze of Ginji. When Starfy returns to where Fluffy is, Moe throws the Snowman onto him, causing him to cool down. He then gives Starfy access to the Koala Costume

Post Game

During the post game, Fluffy created a new feature for the costume, but it can’t be used. Getting angry, he tells Starfy that this will be a test, and he'll only gain access to the new feature after completing it. After doing so, Starfy gains access to the Yankee Costume (which unlocks extra stages) and the ability to switch between the Koala and Yankee Costumes by pressing the L or R Button(s).

Densetsu no Starfy 3

In Densetsu no Starfy 3, Moe tells Fluffy to give them a Costume, but he explains that he doesn't have any left to give them. He says that if he had the materials, he could make one in no time, so Moe tells Starfy to gather some fiber (Wool), something to sew with (the Sewing Set) and a cool-looking accessory (the Curved Horns) and bring them back to Fluffy. Before Starfy leaves, though, Fluffy asks him to take an Oboe he found to Shiro-san, thinking that it might be his. By doing so, Shiro lets him shear his Uruwool for their Wool, which he then gives to Rockin' Baa, who gives Starfy the Sewing Set. Taking this Sewing Set to Saint Nak, he uses it to repair his torn Sack of Presents, and thanks Starfy by giving him the Reindeer Band. Finally, Starfy takes the Reindeer Band to the Jellato Sisters, who think the accessory is cool and trade him the Curved Horns.

After Starfy returns to Fluffy with the aforementioned materials, he makes the Sheep Costume and gives it to Starfy after he gets used to operating it.

Post Game

During the post game, Fluffy makes a new Costume, the Baa-san Costume (or literally the "Old(er) Woman Costume"), and gives it to Starfy after a short test run.

Trivia

  • Fukafuka’s exposed face/head shares some resemblance to the Catfish Boat Vehicle from Starfy 1. Notably the color of their skin and their reddish/purplish lips.
