It's straight up called "Balloon" in Japanese, changing it to "Blimp" makes little sense over a minor plot point in 3 when the issue could be resolved by just tweaking the wording

The Balloon is a vehicle in Densetsu no Starfy and Densetsu no Starfy 2. It looks like a hot air balloon. When using it, Starfy holds on to the rope. It is taught to Starfy by Old Man Mechani in both games.
