Swabbies (Teshita, literally 'Minions' in Japan[1]) are enemies which appear in The Legendary Starfy. They are the backbone of Mashtooth's army - in other words, they do all the dirty work. In one of Bunston's flashbacks, Land Swabbies attacked him under Mashtooth's orders and knocked him out of his ship, making Bunston fall into his own ship and crash-land into Starfy's room in the kingdom of Pufftop. They are first fought by Starfy (and Starly) in Planet Bunnera (Stage 8). There are four types of Swabbie - Land, Sky, Space, and Sea. A Swabbie can easily be defeated with one Star Spin by Starfy or Starly.
In Area 3 of Planet Bunnera (Asteroid Attack), some Swabbies in UFOs tried to attack The Cosmic Express by throwing asteroids at it, but they were deflected by Starfy, giving Modo and Junior enough time to drive The Cosmic Express to Bunnera Castle.

Land Swabbies are able to be fought in level 2 of Planet Bunnera - Modo's Cosmic Express. Their main attack pattern is charging into the player, but if Starfy tries to jump over them, they will jump up and hit him.
Toy description
"This is one of the land-lubbin' pirates! Watch out for his jump attack! This crew member for Mashtooth's pirates works best on solid ground." (#076)

Sky Swabbies are first encountered in Planet Bunnera in Modo's Cosmic Express. They float around by strapping balloons to their pants. Their main form of attack is throwing moon rocks at Starfy.
Toy description
"This is one of the high-flyin' pirates! He's mastered the midair attack. This crew member always wanted to be a dancer." (#077)

Space Swabbies are also, once again, first encountered on Planet Bunnera but not on the Cosmic Express. They can be found bounding and frolicking throughout the outskirts of Planet Bunnera. They wear a little white spacesuit, and their main form of attack is jumping. Due to low gravity, they can jump pretty high.
Toy description
"This is one of the space-floatin' pirates! I hope his jet pack malfunctions! This crew member is a real space cadet!" (#078)

Finally, Sea Swabbies are found in Pufftop (Stage 9). They are only encountered by Starly. They swim around and wear a little green wetsuit and goggles. Their main attack pattern is swimming into Starly.
Toy description
"This is a sea-swimmin' pirate! I wonder how much oxygen he's got left... This pirate loves the smell of seaweed in the morning." (#085)
