They are the backbone of [[Mashtooth]]'s army - in other words, they do all the dirty work. In one of [[Bunston]]'s flashbacks, Land Swabbies attacked him under Mashtooth's orders and knocked him out of his ship, making Bunston fall into his own ship and crash-land into [[Starfy]]'s room in the kingdom of [[Pufftop]]. They are first fought by Starfy (and [[Starly]]) in [[Planet Bunnera]] (Stage 8). There are four types of Swabbie - Land, Sky, Space, and Sea. A Swabbie can easily be defeated with one [[Star Spin]] by Starfy or [[Starly]].

In [[Area]] 3 of [[Planet Bunnera]] (Asteroid Attack), some Swabbies in UFOs tried to attack [[The Cosmic Express]] by throwing asteroids at it, but they were deflected by Starfy, giving [[Modo]] and [[Junior]] enough time to drive The Cosmic Express to Bunnera Castle.
