Piranyan is an enemy, possibly based on a pufferfish, that appears in both. Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3. In Starfy 2, it appears in most levels of the Pitch Dark Cave in underwater areas, while it is found in the water of the Jungle in Starfy 3.
Method of Attack
Piranyans home in on Starfy when he swims past, and are so fast, they can even compete with Starfy's fastest swimming speed. If Starfy has to stop to break blocks, it is very likely that a Piranyan can use this time to catch up. Piranyans are covered in spikes, so mere contact with one, even if Starfy is attacking with the Star Spin, will cause Starfy to lose a heart of health.
