Playing Round and Round Trampon

Round and Round Trampon (Japanese: クルクルトランポン, Kurukuru Toranpon) is a minigame in Densetsu no Starfy 3. It is the first minigame available at Moe's House when it becomes available after clearing Stage 2-3 (Coral Coast).

This minigame is set somewhere in the clouds where a castle similar to Pufftop Palace can be seen in the distance. There are eight small trampolines for the player to bounce on, as well as one wide trampoline that continuously moves left to right.

The objective of this minigame is to avoid falling past the bottom of the screen. The player must maintain the least number of falls as one of four colored star shaped characters under a given time limit of sixty seconds. Player 1 plays as the blue character, Player 2 plays as the green character, Player 3 plays as the yellow character, and Player 4 plays as the pink character.

How to Play

Move the control pad left or right to move through the air and land on one of the nine trampolines. After landing on one of the trampolines, the A button can be pressed to bounce up high into the air. Players can bump into each other to knock them off the edge of the stage. Additional colored stars may sometimes fall from the top of the screen, however these are not playable in multiplayer and are presumably meant to project the player off course.

Trivia

Name origin

  • The name of this minigame incorporates 'kuru kuru', a form of Japanese onomatopoeia for rotating or spinning. Toranpon, is possibly a combination of trampoline (トランポリン, toranporin) and pon (ポン), another form of Japanese onomatopoeia similar to 'pop'.
