Candles (Japanese: ロウソク) are objects in Densetsu no Starfy 4. They are found in Old Tower. If Starfy or Starly touches a candle he/she will carry it over their head. When carrying a candle, it will light up the the surrounding area slightly. Candles can be used to burn wood. If a Candle touches wood it will engulf the wood in flames, destroying it, and disappear.
If while holding a Candle, Starfy or Starly touch a waterfall or a pool of water, it will extinguish the flame from the candle. The extinguished candle will disappear, and a lit candle will respawn in its original position.
In the story, at the end of Stage 8-3 there is a special candle with pink wax which must be used to light four Candlesticks. It will burn out if Starly is too slow to light them all, but will respawn in its original location.
