Jiran is a red fish enemy in Densetsu no Starfy 4. It uses white fan-like 'arms' to swim. It appears in Flourishing Desert, and can be found underwater. It hides within a blue, rocket-shaped metal casing, composed of a bullet-shaped 'head' and a main body. It uses the bullet attached to its head to present an intimidating glare and appears docile without its metal casing.

When Starfy or Starly approach Jiiran, it will eject its head as part of a spring mechanism. The 'head' will follow Starfy and Starly around the area for a few seconds (or until they move out of the water) before turning red and exploding. The ejected head can be defeated with one Star Spin in addition to the actual enemy itself.
