Lovewizumi is a red fish in Densetsu no Starfy 4 who apparently lives underneath the Spring of Love. He appears to the shock of Starfy, Starly and Moe after Starfy offers a rose to the spring in Lobber's Villa, which was stolen by Konk. He allows the player to play the Spring of Love side quest. It must be played at least once to proceed to Tree of Beginning, though it isn't necessary to complete it.

On multiple occasions he is called a "fairy" (妖精/yousei in Japanese) both by Lobber (where he explains that the fairy sleeping in the Spring of Love could warp Starfy, Starly, and Moe to the Tree of Beginning), Starly, and Moe (though once he actually sees Lovewizumi, he asks "where the fairy is")

Name Origin

  • Lovewizumi’s name is based off of the words ラブ/Rabu, or “Love” and “Izumi” (泉, meaning spring or fountain). The “U” from Love and the “I” from Izumi are “tied together” to make a “Wi” sound (うぃ). ウィズミー (Wizumī) can also be translated as “with me”, which would make his name “Lovewithme”.

Trivia

  • The kanji on Lovewizumi's leotard(?) seems to be "罪/Tsumi". Its direct definitions are crime or sin, but it is also commonly seen being worn by people who work out. It is also translated as "indiscretion".[1]
