Welcome!

Fancy meeting you here! It's me, StarLightHoshiHikari from Youtube! Thanks for the many images. You know, recently we've started making articles about the games music and your videos would be a lot of help! I was actually going to ask you, before you joined, if you'd like me to include your videos in the music articles. Anyway, if you need any help you can ask me or the other admins! Star Light 19:48, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for you videos Kagegamer! You have no idea how much we needed those songs! -The Forgotten Beast TALK 03:25, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

I'm back!

Thought I'd give you an update on why I suddenly disappeared. We lost the internet, but my dad didn't tell me so I couldn't even give anyone a heads up. Right now I'm in a free wi fi spot, but I should have the internet tomorrow! I will get back to my active editing then. It doesn't seem like I missed much, except the style's changed again. Well, let me know if you need any help with something! Star Light 01:52, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Buruda guys

Burudasama is the big guy that hits the little guy's head. Meaning the little guy's Burudaddo. Hope that helped! Star Light 21:30, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

Forgotten Beast wanted to thank you

For helping out in his absense. I know it's kinda late, but I should still pass it on. That's all really. Star Light 05:15, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

FA

Sorry Kagegamer, but Ogura was still missing some important info and plot details from some of his appearances, unless those are in I cant add him, I would've added the missing info but in honesty I dont understand a word of what theyre saying in the games half the time, sorry. <:( -The Forgotten Beast 06:45, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Most of it is listed here in the general guidelines, I assumed everyone had read through it already, my mistake then, I'll have to add it in the next forums then. <:\ -The Forgotten Beast 07:28, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

What is a Ku? No clue...

I can't seem to figure out what this thing is either, maybe its a pixie? A bird? A chibi angel? I've seen a lot of creatures from japanese legend but none that resemble this enemy, in the mean time I'll go ask Star Light and see what she comes up with. -The Forgotten Beast 00:44, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

DnS1 Artwork

Thanks so much! Did you scan those images in yourself, alter some of mine, or find them from another source? I really need to get a scanner, because the quality on Nintendo 3DS camera won't do... --Torchickens 07:49, 5 January 2012 (EST)

RE:DnS1 Artwork

Do you mean the images like this one? I actually just uploaded those from the Densetsu no Starfy 3 website, there's some good artwork on the official Nintendo websites (especially some of the relatively obscure series like Starfy), but I overlooked just looking at the official site sooner. --Torchickens 15:50, 10 January 2012 (EST)

RE:DnS3 Artwork

The first link was from Kakurenbo Battle Monster Tactics, developed by Spiral. It's a game that plays a little like Fire Emblem but there's an emphasis on collecting the monster's footprints as well. You defeat monsters and collect their skill rings using the MonTac skill scanner for help in later battles.

The second link is from Creatures's Chalien series, the first game Chee Chai Alien wasn't published by Nintendo and it had you collecting aliens from light sources using the Game Boy's infrared port, the second game was a spin-off puzzle game collection called Nonono Puzzle Chalien, published by Nintendo. The KuruPachi 6 mode became a DSiWare title called Spin Six with all the Chaliens still in for the NA and EU releases. --Torchickens 10:56, 14 January 2012 (EST)

Admin Category

Can you add Category:Admins to your userpage? Unless I removing broken file links or categories, I don't like to edit other people's user pages, I kind of find it rude (heh), so can you add it yourself? --Starphoria (C·E) 16:06, 26 February 2012 (EST)

Re:Densetsu no Starfy 2 guidebook

Great! Thanks a lot for your help, I much appreciate it. :)

I don't feel in a very good mood today... My guidebook arrived and it looked like it was in great condition. It was nicely packaged and wrapped in lots of bubble wrap, but to my frustration pages 241-262 (you know, where all the artwork is) were ripped out. I've had no problems with Japan-ssyduk before. I guess whoever manages the store oversaw this. Japan-ssyduk said in the item description that there were no missing pages, and some of these pages were in the description. =/ I've asked for a refund right away, I'm just annoyed with the situation and that I'm probably going to have to pay for the postage and packaging to send it back to Japan.

You might be interested in this, japan-ssdyuk recently listed two copies of the complete Densetsu no Starfy manga set. I bought the first one. There is currently a "Buy it Now" which is going really cheap at $11.48. I wonder if we'll see the DnS2/DnS4 Starfy plushes on eBay soon. I also noticed that there seem to be Catfish Boat, Kigurumi, Magic Set and Balloon "mascot" plushes, called "お手王マスコット". Do you know what these are? These seem to be rare, I can't even see them on Yahoo Auctions Japan or rakuten.

Does your scanner have a Magazine (Color) mode, it helps get rid of the 'grain'/particles which you may see in images. --Torchickens 15:53, 2 March 2012 (EST)

No problem. ^^ We really need to do something about all this spam... Would you suggest we ask Tappy to install the Delete:User (to clear all the user list spam) and DNSBL/HTTPBL HoneyPot/StopForumSpam extensions?... --Torchickens 11:30, 4 March 2012 (EST)
OK, I'll send the message!
By the way, thank you for your kind suggestions. Japan-ssyduk sent me a message to say that he/she might have made a mistake. I've since negotiated with them and got a full refund for the item. It would indeed be interesting if we could get somebody to find and list those plushes. When I was reading your other reply, I only noticed last line about the scanner. I'm sorry about that, I must have been really tired that night. --Torchickens 13:55, 6 March 2012 (EST)
That's amazing!! Thank you so much for your hard work Kagegamer12. I'll add them to the pages right away. --Torchickens 09:34, 8 March 2012 (EST)

Re:(2) Spambots

Following the message I sent to Tappy through the NIWA forums last week, I haven't heard anything back yet. It seems that he might be busy, because he hasn't been active on the NIWA forums since last Sunday. I hope that he acknowledged the message. I might have to contact him again when he comes back online. We now do have a spam blacklist, but I'm not sure how it works exactly. The MediaWiki page states that the extension should automatically grab the URLs from the default spam blacklist, which I'm assuming is this. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working.

What kind of CAPTCHA were you thinking of, Kagegamer12? Maybe we could have one of those queries when you add external links, like the one on NintendoWiki. We could use questions such as "What series does this Wiki focus on?" ...and we should hire Modo to eat all the spambots. --Torchickens 16:57, 16 March 2012 (EDT)

Yeah, this seems to be working. One spambot got through somehow when account creation was blocked but we don't know how. It must have clicked a hidden link or something o_o. Starphoria (Talk) recently sent a list of tasks for Tappy to do via Skype. I'll forward them on to you and Star Light (Talk) via the NIWA Forums. --Torchickens 12:21, 6 April 2012 (EDT)
Done, I hope this helps as I wasn't sure that you received the message. --Torchickens 13:00, 6 April 2012 (EDT)

IRC

Hello. Torchickens (Talk) and I are trying to organize a time to meet on the IRC to discuss things we could change this year in honor of the Starfy series' 10h anniversary... if you could please leave a message on my talkpage telling me what day and time you could try and meet tomorrow (if possible), that'd be great. --Starphoria (C·E) 20:13, 17 March 2012 (EDT)

Densetsu no Starfy 4 music

Hi Kagegamer12 (Talk), I recently finished my attempt at translating all of the track names in Densetsu no Starfy 4, so I wanted to let you know in case you want to update all of the track names on your Youtube account. I also looked into the actual ROM and found some strange stuff, relating to leftover file names and what appears to be the official romaji for all of the enemies. For example, Soiru is called "Soil". Filenames were found in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond matching with the official romaji of Pokémon Black and White Pokémon, so this seems to be a legitimate thing that developers do, though I was hesitant to change them and especially long enemy names such as Afurottotaigar are shortened. There is quite a lot to mention, so if you ever decide to join Skype, we can talk about it together there. I've mainly messed with Pokémon games, but this is the first time I've decided to download the Starfy ROMs and look into the coding.

I plan on making articles for all the music that appears in Densetsu no Starfy 4 and The Legendary Starfy, but couldn't find the track for Focus Hill City (World 7 map) on Youtube. Do you have it uploaded under a different name? If not, I'd much appreciate if you could upload it, since the respective article currently doesn't have any music on it. I was also wondering on your opinion on whether we should install an extension to embed audio files or not. Thanks! --Torchickens 15:24, 14 April 2012 (EDT)

Great! Thanks for uploading those screenshots, that should be a big help. I should finally be able to chat on Skype again, my username is 'torchickens', as usual. What's yours? I found the Thousand-Year Hill/Focus Hill Map music; I'm not sure why I could find all of the other music but not that one in particular; perhaps I was searching for 'stage 7' instead of world 7... --Torchickens 06:44, 19 May 2012 (CDT)

Squeak Squeak Panic

Hi Kagegamer12 (Talk), I was trying to align the 'good' mouse and 'bad' sprites for the Squeak Squeak Panic article into a gallery using "<gallery>" tags, but I wasn't able to do so without the sprites becoming stretched or the boxes being too wide. Do you know how I could display them properly? Much appreciated if you can help! --Torchickens 08:40, 20 May 2012 (CDT)

The Forgotten Beast (Talk) asked me to leave you a message

Hi Kagegamer12 (Talk). The Forgotten Beast asked me to inform you that he won't be active on NIWA or Skype until an unknown date due to his computers having not worked for weeks. Please let me know if you receive this message. Thanks. --Torchickens 08:29, 22 May 2012 (CDT)

Attack powers

Thanks a lot for your hard work on enemy attack powers Kagegamer12 and also for fixing my error on King Owlrun! I don't know why I put Star Spins... What do you suppose we do, incorporate all of them into a list and include some obstacles? I'll take care of listing all the values you added if it suits you. --Torchickens 10:18, 29 May 2012 (CDT)

Sounds good! I'll work on it now. --Torchickens 11:06, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
Sure. That would be great! I'm in the process of cleaning up the list a little, so we might get an edit conflict. I'll tell you when I'm finished. I'm also adding an entry for the 'turd' in Magical Coin.
RE: Arumarji, that's a good question... He's listed as a 'friend' in the Picture Book. Maybe we should list him as an obstacle, and add a note that he's also an actual character. What do you think? --Torchickens 12:49, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
Never mind, I noticed you added a section for friends. Suppose we could add Friends as a sub-title for obstacles. --Torchickens 12:52, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
Great job. It looks about ready for mainspacing! Do you think that was every last obstacle? Moguai's fire after giving him a chili pepper can harm you, so I'll add the value for that... --Torchickens 13:53, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
Huh weird, I thought it did o_o. False memory is bad... OK let's get it mainspaced. --Torchickens 14:12, 29 May 2012 (CDT)

Welcome back

Welcome back to the Wiki Kagegamer12! I'm not sure if you're aware, but I already uploaded this version of the Items List screen icon in Densetsu no Starfy 3 (I started an Items List article some time ago). That one is the full version with the text, though. --Torchickens (talk) 18:10, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

RE main page: Yes, that's fine :). --Torchickens (talk) 18:15, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
No, because Sea Jams is capitalized as it actually appears in The Legendary Starfy, while things like 'artwork' and 'only' shouldn't normally be capitalized. --Torchickens (talk) 18:37, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi!

Long time no see Kagegamer12. I hope you're doing well? :) I've been doing OK, but a little bored or lonely at times. I have my own flat now but still looking for a paid job. As for the wiki it kind of came to a stop after the 1300 mark, there isn't too much to add anymore without analysing the Japanese text. Usually I spend my time playing games, making YouTube videos and I'm also working on a RPG Maker game. --Torchickens (talk) 15:25, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

That's OK :) I do.. but soon we may be moving to a house with a mortgage, which is giving me mixed thoughts though I want to do it to help independence and to invite my mum over whenever she likes. Yes ^^ I noticed that in one of the leak lists, apparently the only other one we don't have on the articles is an Old Man Lobber spirit. My brother and I are waiting to play the game at Christmas though. I'll have to see if I can find the screenshots for these two spirits.
The game is called Goldy the Chicken it's about a transgender hen, discrimination and philosophical issues. I want to make it a little lighthearted, but one of the concepts I want to cover is form, identity, and whether we change to be different people or are still the same, as well Carl Jung's concept of the shadow (have you ever played Celeste on Switch? it has a similar concept, Madeline suffers from anxiety and her shadow side emerges). I identify as a transgender woman now and have faced some discrimination already it sucks but on the positive I feel I know where I'm at. I just get lonely if I'm left alone for too long alone and want to join a social group with other transgender people.
You're very welcome I'm still glad to help out here whenever I can! ^^ I tell myself there's not much more to do but with the occasional Starfy cameos they're nice to add every now and then. Its like I don't know if I have the drive in me to work on projects for too long anymore, sometimes I only feel like relaxing, which I used to think means "oh she's lazy" but I think as long as you're happy and be kind to people it's all that matters. Sometimes it's about self-care and waiting until you're in the mood.
Yes, my name is Evie so I just had to choose the Eevee version x3 and the voices are so adorable!! It was very refreshing though. I love this arrangement.
Glad to hear you're fine. Have you been up to much? You been into any new games?
--Torchickens (talk) 21:12, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

Yes ^^. Definitely. I love that too, they did a really good job at covering 'obscure' characters for instance DeMille and the Tomatrio from Tomato Adventure as well as Li'l Blue from the Chee-Chai Alien series (two of my favourite niche series).

Thanks, actually after a conversation with my mum I have plans now to make it a little less deep though, because I can think too seriously and she is concerned (this plan is working I just avoid reading anything on the Internet too deep). That's true, I think Celeste is quite tough as well. It reminds me of the game VVVVVVV, which is a nice game to play if you like platformers in general.

Yeah, I have mixed thoughts though, like I like to listen to people's issues but don't want to take on too much as I'm quite sensitive as well, but thinking about it I already have a transgender friend online, and I just want to make a nice friend to hang out with regardless of whether they are also transgender or not. Thanks for your concern.

Yeah ^^

Awesome, yeah Eevee is really cute (he/she also just sounds so adorable ;w;) but I like Pikachu as well, I actually named myself after Eevee and because it's a nice name lol (slightly embarrassed). That's true, yes, in Pokémon and monster-battling games in general I feel that can get annoying when you get encounters a lot and not necessarily with the Pokémon you want.

Nice taste! I've played/tried all of those. I haven't beaten Zelda, Mega Man 11 or Undertale yet though. While Undertale is well written and has good humour, I don't know if I like it though, the narrative seems too dark for me (although I like the idea of its different endings) and I just feel some of the characters like Flowey are kind of scary.

I went through a Mega Man marathon recently. One of my other online friends is a big Mega Man fan and now I've beaten almost all the main series Mega Man games with restore points except for Mega Man 11.

Happy New Year by the way! Do you also have Smash Ultimate? I main Pichu/Jigglypuff and have beaten the Classic mode with everyone but not the story mode yet. Unlocking new characters on the Spirits board is also quite enjoyable. --Torchickens (talk) 23:29, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed you are one of this wiki's administrators, so I thought I'd ask you for help.

A few days ago, I discovered this wiki and logged in with the user name "Moe Kyorosuke" for obvious reasons. As you will probably notice in this wiki's recent changes, I made a lot of edits and added a bunch of content over the last 4? 3? days. However, while I was checking out stuff in my user page preferences, I accidentally softlocked my own user. I changed my skin mode, and that made the whole page change. I literally couldn't do anything, there where no pictures, info, and I couldn't even go back to the preference to change to the default skin mode. I tried to fix this on my tablet and my computer, but I just couldn't reverse my mistake. So seeing I had no other option, I logged in with a new user, named "MoeKyorosuke" without spaces, so I could keep my name. I hope you now understand why there will be two users with the same user name running around the wiki. I'm afraid I cannot do anything to fix my old user now. I hope you understand, and thank you so much for your attention. I will continue to add new content to this wiki as much as I can, and I hope my edits help. Thank you very much.

Edit: Help! It seems something is wrong with this wiki. Overtime I open it, or log in with my new user, I am sent to the cologne-blue skin version of the wiki. Here, everything is blank save for some headlines which say "internal error", and since no images, info, or options appear, I cannot do anything. I hope you can help me by telling me what is causing this soft lock. Thank you.
