::::That's true. I think Kagegamer12 ripped the sound data for both the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS games and converted them into individual MP3 files, so if any video is taken down, then we can just re-upload the soundtrack. I suppose that we could include a list of sound effects if we wanted in a page like this, though I feel that Youtube (and the other supported sites) are more user-friendly and an advantage of sticking with Youtube videos is that it would otherwise take up additional space on the Wiki to store the music as files. | ::::That's true. ::::Incidentally, I recently found a debug menu in Densetsu no Starfy, which actually includes a sound test which lets you listen to all the sound effects as well as music. A user called Divingkataetheweirdo found text for a debug menu, so I looked into the ROM and found a way to activate it (I have a little bit of experience in RAM hacking and hex editing). Embedding music
Would it be possible for us to embed the soundtrack on to the Wiki itself? I've seen it possible on other MediaWiki sites, for example the The Cutting Room Floor, a Wiki about unused content in video games embeds OGG files on to its pages. (e.g see this page). --Torchickens 15:10, 12 April 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah, the OggHandler extension would allow that, --Starphoria (C·E) 18:16, 12 April 2012 (EDT)
- I never knew there was an extension like that. Thanks for sharing. Does anyone have any opinion on whether we should install it? We would have to use a program to convert all the music to OGG files. --Torchickens 08:27, 13 April 2012 (EDT)
- It works better for Sound Effects or short jingles (such as a Pokemon's cry or the Zelda Chime) as compared to Music. It could work, but I am not positive that it is worth the time or effort. --Starphoria (C·E) 19:10, 13 April 2012 (EDT)
- That's true. I think Kagegamer12 (Talk) ripped the sound data for both the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS games and converted them into individual MP3 files, so if any video is taken down, then we can just re-upload the soundtrack. I suppose that we could include a list of sound effects if we wanted in a page like this, though I feel that Youtube (and the other supported sites) are more user-friendly and an advantage of sticking with Youtube videos is that it would otherwise take up additional space on the Wiki to store the music as files.

- Incidentally, I recently found a debug menu in Densetsu no Starfy, which actually includes a sound test which lets you listen to all the sound effects as well as music. A user called Divingkataetheweirdo found text for a debug menu, so I looked into the ROM and found a way to activate it (I have a little bit of experience in RAM hacking and hex editing).
