Interpreting Furubita

The gist seems to be that 古びた (furubita) is based on ふるい (old), but is a combination with "た" (used for past events) conjugated in another form. The conjugation term used are unfamiliar to what I've learned but specifically from literal translation seem to be "past"-"completed" ("past perfect" maybe)-"affirmative auxiliary verb". Does anybody know if there is a more appropriate English word to use than "old"? Thanks. --Torchickens (talk) 20:36, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
