Meat falling off a meat tree in Densetsu no Starfy 2.

Meat (Japanese: )[1] is a piece of meat on a bone. It appears in Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3.

Densetsu no Starfy 2

Meat can be found in Pitch Dark Cave's areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9 where they are found on meat trees. When a meat tree is hit with Starfy's Star Spin, it causes meat to fall off the tree.

If meat falls into the water, then a Piranyan will move after it if it sees it and begin eating it. Piranyan are normally harmful to Starfy, but while it is eating the meat it will stop chasing after Starfy, turn blue and withdraw its spikes. Piranyan are harmless to Starfy in this state, and if Starfy touches one it will only slightly repel Starfy away from the Piranyan. The Piranyan eats three chunks of the meat before eating all of it, leaving only the bone behind.

If meat goes into the mouth of a Big Nikku, then it will eat the meat until spitting out the bone. While a Big Nikku is eating, it stops the current that it creates when its mouth is open, allowing Starfy to get to new places more easily.

Densetsu no Starfy 3

Meat that looks like the meat from Densetsu no Starfy 2 but is of a darker brown reappears in Densetsu no Starfy 3, and can be yielded from trees after they are attacked by Starfy or Starly. However, they are dropped from different trees to the trees in Densetsu no Starfy 2.

These trees have orange leaves and are found in the Jungle in areas 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Although the trees give meat, no meat can be seen hanging from the tree.

Like in Densetsu no Starfy 2, Piranyan will go and eat the meat, and they will become harmless while they are eating.

Enemies known as Ringio-kun can be fed meat. This leaves them harmless while they are eating the meat (until they leave the bone), and this may help in trapping a Ringio-kun inside of a cage.

Big Nikku do not appear in Densetsu no Starfy 3.
