Shooting Star is one of Starfy's most powerful moves that he can learn.
In The Legendary Starfy, it is acquired in S.S. Logwater (Stage 7-2). The player must do an Air Jump, then press Down & Y. This move will charge through the air until it reaches an enemy or land, but if it takes a little time in water, it will stop. In Densetsu no Starfy 4, it will stop immediately after Starfy makes contact with a surface of water.
In the Game Boy Advance series and Densetsu no Starfy 4, it is performed by using an Air Jump and pressing Down & B. In Densetsu no Starfy 3, if the player goes to a high enough height and use Shooting Star then without hitting anything in its path for a second, it will speed up and become more powerful allowing Starfy to destroy large blocks, pierce through enemies, and even go through water to the bottom without interruption from strong water currents. In Densetsu no Starfy 4, it is learned in Old Tower (Stage 8).
