Fwip is a fish enemy in the Nintendo DS games. They can puff themselves up, and create a shield in front of them if the Starfy or Starly is too slow to defeat it using a Star Spin. If Starfy or Starly performs a Star Spin on a Fwip's shield, he or she will bounce back. When a Fwip has its shield up, can only defeat it by attacking it from behind. However, instead of trying to defeat it, Starfy or Starly can back off and wait. In a few moments, the Fwip's shield will go away, and the Fwip will be still gasping for air.
