Fwip is a fish enemy in the Nintendo DS games. They can puff themselves up, and create a shield in front of them. If Starfy or Starly performs a Star Spin on a Fwip's shield, he or she will bounce back. When a Fwip has its shield up, the player cannot defeat it. Instead of trying to defeat it, back off and wait. In a few moments, the Fwip's shield will go away, and the Fwip will be still, gasping for air. You can now attack him.
