Welcome

Welcome!
Welcome to The Legendary Starfy Wiki. The wiki about the Legendary Starfy series that anyone can edit!

Should you wish to contribute, here are great starting points:

  • Help:Editing will give you a tutorial on wiki markup, from basic editing to more advanced tagging. Wiki markup is simple to learn and easy to remember.
  • Your userpage is a great place to tell the wiki about yourself, if you want to make one.
  • Recent changes allows you to see what pages other people have been editing, and it gives you a good idea on where you can start helping.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of our administrators on their respective talk pages, and make sure you sign your name on talk pages with 4 tildes "~~~~".

We hope that you make many legendary contributions!

Re:Captcha

Hi! Thank you for your helpful edits! :) Sorry to hear about the Captcha being awkward, I relate with that; sometimes the questions are quite hard or the seemingly right answers are wrong. :/

Yes, for a while bots have been registering and posting spam again, so the patrol team have helped with deleting the spam as it comes. I'm unsure if the bots still get through, but I remember us installing a Captcha as spam used to be a heavy problem. I'm unsure if we got rid of it, and there is a chance that Tappy (who runs the server) may have installed it again, so that we don't have to manually delete their spam (which is usually done on the user pages now), as I believe you may have to be autoconfirmed (a group that is set after a certain amount of time since registering) to create new mainspace pages.

To answer your question, if I set your user groups to emailconfirmed and/or patroller this may enable you to bypass the Captcha as a temporary solution. I'll do this now, let me know if this works. Another solution may be to make it so new registrations on the wiki have to be confirmed through email, so that the spam bots cannot register. I'll contact Tappy and see if we can do that. --Torchickens (talk) 00:47, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

You're welcome :), yeah I don't like the image based Captchas and want to get rid of it too. That's reassuring that the question Captcha may be enough, and it seems like a better solution than disabling new registrations. Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder if it's possible to make the wiki only ask for it once in a while during your current session. I'll definitely inquire with Tappy about it. --Torchickens (talk) 02:05, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
