The player must usually use a vehicle to avoid harm from the swamp, or in the case of The Legendary Starfy, light emitted from a Glowing Mushroom to absorb the poison. When the Starfy or Starly walks on an acorn, so the player has to be careful not to fall in. In The Legendary Starfy the player can also use the Air Jump and Glide abilities to jump across the swamp.
In Densetsu no Starfy 2
In Densetsu no Starfy 2, Torito teaches Starfy how to ride Sukebon. Sukebon is regularly used throughout the game to cross both toxic swamps and lava.
In The Legendary Starfy
Toxic swamps are found in the Sogwood Forest, they have purple water, and deal damage if Starfy makes contact with it. Capfish's caps (mushrooms) absorb the poison, as used in a Side Quest No. 11 "The Lost Treasure Chest".
