Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Japanese: 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ SPECIAL, Dairantou Smash Bros. SPECIAL) is an upcoming game in the Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games, and the fifth (if Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are treated as one entry) or sixth game in the series.
The gameplay of the title is like past entries in the series, in which characters from (primarily) Nintendo flagship titles fight each other with the aim of knocking them off the screen and accumulating damage, measured in "%".[1]
This game will feature all 63 returning playable fighters from the past games in the series, as well as new fighters including Inkling (from the Splatoon franchise and Ridley (from the Metroid franchise).
Relevance to The Legendary Starfy series
As with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Starfy will appear in this game as an Assist Trophy, however it is not yet known whether he or other characters from the series will appear in other ways.
