| In Densetsu no Starfy 2, Mekani-jiisan is found in [[Gluglug Lagoon]] (Stage 2-3). The Balloon can be upgraded by meeting Mekani-jiisan again in the same location after defeating [[Ogura]] for the first time. The upgraded version unlocks extra secret levels in certain stages in addition to the ones unlocked after completing the main game. With the upgraded version it looks more like a mini blimp. The upgrade allows Starfy to be able to move faster by using the B button.
