Densetsu no Starfy 2 was officially only released in Japan. However, a prototype of a seemingly cancelled iQue version of the game would surface online, as 斯塔非的传说2 (Sitafei De Chuanshuo 2). The game was translated into Chinese. This article covers other known differences.

The title screen in the iQue version is missing the copyright notice at the bottom. It also features different 'press A' text, with the word "START".

There are some minor differences in the Stuff, however, it is only to change Japanese script into Chinese characters, with the exception of the School Swimsuit, which had the "1-2" in its text stretched, and the original text スタ removed but not replaced.
