==[[Mini G]]== | |||
Hi. I reverted your addition of your "Ichibanian" species name in the Mini G article because we expect purely factual content on this Wiki. In other words we want to be as objective as we can, but I do appreciate your creativity! A word of advice, when linking to other articles within this Wiki, use <nowiki>[[(EXAMPLE)]]</nowiki> as opposed to <nowiki>[http://www.starfywiki.org/EXAMPLE]</nowiki>. One last thing, when unsure about whether an article will come out right or not I would highly recommend using the "Show preview" button first, to save yourself from making too many edits at once. Thanks. --[[User:Torchickens|Torchickens]] 02:20, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
==Answer to your question==
To add images to pages, just add the following wiki syntax somewhere, ''<nowiki>[[File:(Name).(extension)]]</nowiki>''. (I added "nowiki" tags in between here, so that it doesn't actually try to bring up an image).
For example, ''<nowiki>[[File:Moe (Official Artwork).png|50px]]</nowiki>'' brings up this: [[File:Moe (Official Artwork).png|50px]].
[[File:HotchaSprings.jpg|200px|thumb|right|Example]]
There are other ways to display an image, such as <nowiki>[[File:HotchaSprings.jpg|200px|thumb|right|Example]]</nowiki> which would bring up this (see right).
You'll need to check whether we actually have an image for a certain file name. To check this you could browse through existing articles, or [[Special:NewFiles]]. If there is no image available, you can easily upload your own, but be careful that it's not a duplicate. To upload an image, simply click on the [[Special:Upload|upload file]] link on the Toolbox section on the left hand side of the page and select a file to upload from your computer or a source URL.
If you want to experiment with Wiki code feel free to do so on [[:Template:Sandbox]].
Hope that helps. --[[User:Torchickens|Torchickens]] 20:03, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Hello User:Zaben73, I am The Forgotten Beast, the current editor in chief here. I see you've been doing a lot of great work here and I greatly appreciate it! However I have noticed you've been linking articles as external links (example: <nowiki>[http://www.starfywiki.org/Moe%27s_Sniffer])</nowiki> and that could cause a bit of discomfort, so I ask that you link articles in this format: <nowiki>[[Name of Article]]</nowiki>, its easier and faster than the other method, anyway I hope you keep up the great work and I hope to see more from you in the future! -[[User:The Forgotten Beast|The Forgotten Beast]] 21:42, 17 May 2011 (UTC) |

Answer to your question
To add images to pages, just add the following wiki syntax somewhere, [[File:(Name).(extension)]]. (I added "nowiki" tags in between here, so that it doesn't actually try to bring up an image).
For example, [[File:Moe (Official Artwork).png|50px]] brings up this: .
There are other ways to display an image, such as [[File:HotchaSprings.jpg|200px|thumb|right|Example]] which would bring up this (see right).
You'll need to check whether we actually have an image for a certain file name. To check this you could browse through existing articles, or Special:NewFiles. If there is no image available, you can easily upload your own, but be careful that it's not a duplicate. To upload an image, simply click on the upload file link on the Toolbox section on the left hand side of the page and select a file to upload from your computer or a source URL.
If you want to experiment with Wiki code feel free to do so on Template:Sandbox.
Hope that helps. --Torchickens 20:03, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
